week 2 DTS OUTREACH.

So, this is the end of our second week of outreach. We left tijuana Monday in the afternoon, Andy prayed for us and comissioned us to go on our outreach, so we drove to Ensenada, it started raining a lot, and fabiola our little 2 year old friend, started vomiting in the car and all over her mom, we got to the ensenada base and had a little break, and continued driving for four hours south, to Vicente Guerrero, all we new is that we were going to one of our classmates house and do ministry and spend Christmas there, I really didnt expect anything but a good dry place to stay. When we arrived we found lots of goodies set out for us around the house. We spent Christmas there, we went to a service at a local church and sang a few carols that we practice beforehand. On the 26th we headed to San Ignacio, wich hapens to be a beautiful oasis in the middle of the dessert, so I can proudly say I have been in a real oasis, with the palm trees and the spring and lots of dates!!! You could see them everywhere!!! So I ate a lot of dates today too!! Yesterday we had an open air program at the plaza of San Ignacio in front of the almost 300 year old mission.

Today Chad preached at the service, I will include a video the sound is really bad, and its in spanish, so thanks for all your prayers and all you support. We couldnt have done this without your love and prayers.

WEEK 1 OUTREACH

this week, we had several activities, in wich we visited teens at a Correctional Institution in Tijuana, and we did a skit, where I play a depressed person who has suicidal thoughts. Today we went to a rehab center, and Chad Preached, wich was very refreshing for me, and at night we had a service at the church where one of our friend from school goes to. We've had my cousins and sister over the past days. My mom just flew back from Michoacan, and we went to pick her up from the airport, there was a lot of people everywhere, so I suppose a lot of people are having their loved ones with them for the holidays.

the power that is in a pair of PJs

I love my new fleece pajamas, they have the power to make me feel warm and confortable, just like your warm bed feels five minutes before you need to get up in a very cold winter morning. The good thing is that I feel like that everytime I wear them. A week ago, I had the oportunity to take somebody shopping and she also bought a pair too. The diference between her and I, is that this was her first pair of pajamas in her whole life. She told me, she has never worn any. I hope she feels as warm and cozy like I do this morning in her new house.

About a week ago, a team from diferent parts of Canada from a company named BOARDWALK, made it possible for four families to have a beautiful new home. Monica is 29 like I am too. I think this house build really touched my heart, she met her husband in the States, and had two children with him, but she also had other two boys with her mom in Mexico City, they lived with her mom because she couldnt take care of them and also work. Then her husband got deported so they bought a lot near Rosarito, and decided to come back to Mexico. Her husband build a very humble home for them, but when the rains started to pour a lot of water would get in to their house, so they had to sleep in their car. I know that this winter, they will be very warm and cozy in their new home. Im happy for them and their family and I pray that her kids will grow up to be God fearing men, that will help other people who were in the same situation they were in, and not only that but, that they have a passion for making their lives better.

NOVEMBER RAIN

Well, this past month was quite eventful. My heart mourned for two loved ones, my uncle was a victim of violence and one of my close friends died of cancer. My cat almost died too, because she ate flea killer, that was the sad part of my month. Now to the GOOD things, we went backpacking in the beautiful mountains of ensenada, we hiked 22 miles, I cant believe it still, it was very hard physically, mentally and emotionally. Im happy I did finish all the activities they asked us to do.

I had my first American Thanksgiving, it was lots of fun, I enjoyed spending time with my new family, and talking with them on the phone too, I think I should do it more often, its funny and many of you wont believe this, but I get "stage fright" when I talk on the phone, I forget what I really wanted to say. Maybe if I dont often, I wont get nervous.

I also had a THANKSMAS, yes, we combined Christmas and Thanksgiving in one weekend, I got the best of both worlds, thank you Teri, for making that happen. Pete and Teri, had all their Christmas stuff set up, our gifts wrapped, stockings and everything, and I saw his books out there, I think he was going to read us a story, I know I will listen to it next year, God willing.

I feel very content with my life and everything that we have, I thank God for my new family and for the family that looks like me too. I think that we are a very blessed pair and not only that, but we are blessed because we have a family that loves us and supports us in our ventures.
Thank you for all your love and prayers and time you have poured in to our lives, and we hope to be a blessing to others around us, as much as you have been to ours.

fun day with family

Today I had a woderful day with my sister, cousin and fiancee, ohh and my nephews too. And of course last but not not least my charming husband. We had pasta and just spent a fun day talking and remembering funny things from our childhood. This was the first time my cousin Yamilka has visited our home, so we took some pictures.
