Whats new with life.

Well last week was our last week in YWAM TJ, I had several going away parties, the first one was precious it was organized by my friends from Colonia Antorcha Campesina, the community where I've been working the past year. Last year around May a couple of friends and I started a reading and math circle with 11 kids, this year we have over 75 kids, and more than 10 moms who attend our classes twice a week. The moms planned a going away party, they made food, and brought cake for the kids, susie made a going away video that made my cry like crazy. The kids made several going away gifts and cards. This truly blessed and touched my heart.

On wednesday the base organized a birthday/good bye party for Chad and I, I danced till I could move, They gave us a really nice picture frame where good wishes and blessings were written around it. That touched my heart too!!

That nightwe finished packing until 2:30 am, after that we headed to playas, we had tacos, yes tacos at 3 am. Then we stayed at my moms. Chad moved all of our stuff to the states, while I visited at my moms. I had the opportunity of watching the world cup game Mexico vs. France with my nephews, It was wonderful Mexico won 2-0, I taught my nephew Diego how to play Rummy he loves playing it too!!

Friday spent the whole day with my handsome nephews and saw Toy story 3, It was worth it standing in line for a whole hour. After that I had a ladies night with childhood friends, got all dressed up and had some Tamarind Martinis, very tasty.

Saturday went to a beautiful wedding Kam and Dia tied the knot, and the lovely Chad Seiler officiated the ceremony.

Sunday, we moved. Pete & Teri helped us out a lot!!! we moved all of our stuff in 1 hour, and every fit in their truck, Uhaul trail and our honda accord, it was great. There was a lot of traffic, so we got home a little before 6 pm. Dominic came to visit us and had a little birthday celebration, Chad got to open his birthday gifts and ate a delicious fluffy yellow cake with chocolate icing.

Today was our first week out of the mexican mission field. Ive been praying a lot about what God wants us to do on this next step, please keep us in your prayers.
One of the things that has been a lot on my mind lately is embroidery, and aprons, mixing beautiful mexican embroidery with vintage aprons. Right now IM just looking at patterns I can transfer. So In a few days Ill show you what im up to.

for now Im crocheting a blanket for baby Anthony, I hope I can finish it before he gets here.

Hi Luisa,

We didn't get a chance to really meet, but I was a volunteer at Ywams TJU with Boardwalk (Dec 2009). I will be going again this year to participate and wanted to catch up with everyone. I seen that you and Chad are no longer there. I wanted to send along my best wishes, and Thank You for making my experience there a once in a life time event. I am sorry I won't see you there this time around, but glad you are following your dreams.

All the Best
Laura
